They came from way far out in outer space She’s hard to miss and so they landed on her face SHE’S GOT COOTIES!

Uploaded in October 2014, “Cooties” is the latest video after “Y Viva Espana” and follows the misfortunes of a poor, chubby school girl plagued by fleas - or so her classmates say.

A few new techniques went into the making of this video, most notably I have started dabbling with Adobe software, using After Effects to create the titles and to animate the girl swirling around in the “twilight zone”. I predict heavier use of this software in future videos as I delve deeper into the manual!

Long tails, sharp nails, fuzzy legs, laying eggs, just the thought of them is enough to make you itch - you’ll be glad you got your cooties shot!

Molasses: A thick syrup produced during the refining of sugar or from sorghum, varying from light to dark brown in color. So says the dictionary definition anyway, but in this case the molasses is black and white - partly because I wanted to try a slightly different style from the cartoons I’d made before, and partly because I wanted to see how quickly I could throw one of these videos together.

It’s icky, sticky goo

The song was recorded around 1950 by Spike Jones, an American musician and bandleader specializing in performing   satirical arrangements of   popular songs. Ballads and classical works receiving the Jones treatment would be punctuated with gunshots, whistles, cowbells, and outlandish vocals. From the early 1940s to the mid 1950s, his band recorded under the title Spike Jones and his City Slickers.
